We partied pretty hard those
days before the festival itself started, and
it was so cool! I have camped in a big camp
like FistCamp before, but it wasn't as fun
as we had it!!!
Almost everyone took a shot
at the drums or even the guitar, and no matter
how bad it sounded it was still fun! The camp
wasn't as crowded as last year, but still
we managed to fill up the partytent with people
some nights.
One night even Trude managed
to find the way to FistCamp, after trying
two days in a row to find us. She was staying
too far away from us as usual.
Breakfast is the most important
meal of the day. If you start the day with
a wholehearty breakfast that includes bread,
milk and greens, you will get through the
day a whole lot better than with just a beer!
And breakfast was a regular
feast in FistCamp ;O)
After breakfast and a lovely
hot shower there is only one thing to do...
And that is to make sure that
the beer supply is steady! We didn't give
away our bottles for a few days and managed
to gather 5 crates of empty goods. That of
course resulted in 1 crate of cold Carlsberg
after Sanne and me dragged this lot over to
the beershop.
Then finally Thursday is here. The official
opening day of the festival. Flags, T-shirts
and other chatgang stuff is ready for the
big chatmeeting.
And the camera crew from VTV
is on the spot to record the whole event.
We started nicely outside the partytent with
some beers and a little concert in honor of
VTV before we marched off to the meeting spot
for the Chatmeeting
2001
Friday night was the first
night I've ever slept alone in a tent at RF.
Benny went home to Stockholm on Friday cuz
he didn't feel well, and I stayed. So Saturday
morning I dragged Magnus with me for a really
nice breakfast at the backstage
and we were ready for the day's concerts.
The sun is still baking, and
FistCamp is alive and kicking. Two more days
and we're leaving.
