| New Year's Party 2001 - the
so cold White Party was held at Erik and Lisa's
new apartment here in Oslo. We had a few beers
at PJ's place first. When we came to the party
it was crowded already. |
| Those who did not come in white
clothes were "punished" with having
to wear rabbit hoods. |
| We didn't know half of the
people who where there, but most people were
very friendly to the photograph (that would
be me). And I had a good time mingling around
taking photos all night. |
| Our excellent host was of course
Erik. |
| And Lisa the ever elegant and
brilliant hostess. |
| When we arrived at the party,
PJ soon took control over the hifi together
with Erik, and the room quickly filled with
the familiar sound of KORN and other goodies.
Some of the other guests complained about
the "headbanger music". I have no
idea what they were talking about... |
| Benny was a real charmer of
course. |
| Lisa and Benny are going for
a "Robbie and Nicole" here i think. |
| But luckily i managed to steal
him back again. |
| It all felt a bit bizarre with
all the people dressed in white. Feathers,
rabbithoods, pajamas - anything goes! Benny
pointed out this felt much like in a clockwork
orange, when they're in the milk bar. |
| Janniche is attacked by the
killerbunny. |
| The apartment was decorated
with allwhite paintings on the wall and mother
of pearl-colored balloons. The balloons were
of course the source of many hours of entertainment.
Here Benny is juggling them. |
| The photograph (still me) took
the time to show people how much fun a camera
with an LCD screen can be. "See that's
how we look...now smile" |
| The dresscode also resulted
in people showing up in costumes of their
own free will. Here's the catboy. |
| He he....a dresscode sinner. |
| Lisa was obviously having a
ball! |
| The apartment consisted of
three big rooms, and there were people everywhere.
The kitchen was absolutely one of the favorite
hang outs. |
| As the evening went on, bits
and pieces of costumes changed owner and the
neighbours started to sneak in. |
| And the music never stops... |
| I am releaved of my camera
for a little while, leaving it up to Kristina
to take a photo of me. And as you can see
I am having a good time. |
| We even met our old neighbour
Ken at the party. He's a friend of Erik and
he's also from the Netherlands. |
| Finally. Midnight is here,
and we are all out on the balcony shouting
"Happy New Year" to the neighbours
and the world. Couldn't see much fireworks
because of the mist, but who cares anyway?? |
| We got our little sparkly things.....they're
just as good as anything. |
| I think it's rather pretty! |
