| As many other people I had
bought a ticket for the Saturday show at Norwegian
Wood only to see Tool. And then Tool cancelled
the whole thing. It was such a big disappointment,
but I decided to go to see some of the other
concerts after all. |
| When I arrived two bands had
already finished playing (Askil Holm and Gemma
Hayes) and Sahara Hotnights had just entered
the stage. |
| Like any other festival it
was raining of course, but the girls in Sahara
Hotnights kept us warm with some quite good
rock'n'roll. |
| I brought my digital camera
to test it out a bit before Roskilde, and
there was no problem getting a good shot at
the stage from where I stood. |
| My only problem was mostly
umbrellas and the rain itself. The concert
was good. I hadn't seen them live before,
though they've played at Roskilde earlier. |
| Between the concerts I was
sitting with PJ and the rest of the boys who
where having a bachelorparty for Erik (the
wedding was later in August in Netherlands).
Erik, of course, had no idea he was at his
own bachelor party. |
| We found ourselves a nice table
out of the rain and had a couple of beers.
The beer was of course ridiculously expensive
(Norwegian festival prices sucks really bad),
so I only had two. |
| The next band on stage was
Gluecifer. I've seen them live at Roskilde
in 1999 and they are still a really good live
band. They also claim to be the best, so... |
| Gluecifer delivered their solid
rock'n'roll with tons of energy and lots of
humour. Great guys. |
| After Gluecifer had finished,
I went back to the guys to find out what the
plans for Erik where that night. Oh la la..... |
| Last band for me that day was
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. |
| The next band was supposed
to be Tool, but due to their cancellation
of the show the next artist was Iggy Pop. |
| I didn't feel like listening
to Iggy Pop, so I went home and played some
Tool and had a few cold Carlsberg before I
made my way down to SoWhat to sulk over Tool
with the rest of the bunch. |
