Else worked as
a volunteer at a Oslo Synthfestival arrangement (Musikkfest
Oslo) summer 2005 and in autumn 2005 she became
a member of the board as our financial manager. And
she has also become a very close friend to me.
Else is a very
dedicated music lover. And the music she loves the most
is synth. In
addition to being on the OSF board she is the manager
of Oslo synthpop band "In Vein", she works
freelance for with graphics for broadcast with major
television productions on her hands AND she's a student
doing her Master's Degree in Aestetic and Media studies
with the title "Norwegian Synth Music Abroad -
why are they successful abroad and not at home?".
Still she manages to take some time off and go out
and enjoy music, dancing and a couple of beers. And
this summer...she's coming along to Roskilde for the
first time. This
will not be our first musical trip together - as Else
was the Norwegian winner for a trip to New York for
2 with flight, hotel and tickets to see Depeche Mode's
opening concert at the Bowery Ballroom - and brought
me!
Best festival memory:
Since she hasn't been to Roskilde yet Else wants to
share this:
"My best
festival memory is definately when Dave Gahan (singer
in Depeche Mode) pointed right at me at the Norwegian
Wood Festival concert in 2003..*sigh*.
The Kraftwerk concert at Rockefeller in 1991 is also
a great memory, simply because they were so funny.
And last, but not least, a memory from London in 1988
when I saw David Sylvian 3 times! That was awesome!"
